Job summary

QSAC is seeking a dedicated Teacher's Aide to provide direct instructional services to students under the supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role emphasizes small group instruction and supports recreation, motor, vocational, socialization, and communication skills using behavior analytic teaching methods.

Initial rate starts at $17.00 USD/hour with potential increase to $21.00/hour after TA-1 certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED.
• Clearance through state mandated Background/Fingerprint Check(s).
• Ability to run.
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20lb items.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others and individuals served.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instructional services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher.
• Focus on small group instruction as outlined by supervising teacher.
• A Teacher's Aide supports students’ recreation, motor, vocational, socialization and communication, leisure and motor skills through behavior analytic teaching procedures.
• Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.
• Aide classroom teacher as needed.
• Maintain student engagement and support student participation in classroom activities.
• Maintain student safety.
• Maintain participant/family confidentiality.
• Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc.).
• Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
• Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
