Job summary

QSAC Education seeks Certified Teacher's Assistants at Levels 1, 2, or 3 for Bronx, Douglaston, and Whitestone schools. You will provide direct instructional services under NYS-certified teacher supervision, focusing on one-on-one or small group sessions and supporting recreation, motor, social, and communication skills using behavior analytic procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years' school experience preferred, and ability to lift up to 20 lb.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals and items up to 20 lb.

The salary for this position is as follows:

Day School - 5- 21 years old

Certified Level 1 Teacher Assistant = $21.00

Certified Level 2 Teacher Assistant = $22.00

Certified Level 3 Teacher Assistant = $24.00

Preschool - 2-4 years old

Certified Level 1 Teacher Assistant = $21.00

Certified Level 2 Teacher Assistant = $22.00

Certified Level 3 Teacher Assistant = $24.00

Job Summary

QSAC is seeking dedicated and energetic Certified Teacher's Assistants, who provide direct instructional services to students under the general supervision of a New York State certified teacher. The role focuses on one-on-one or small group instruction as outlined by the supervising teacher. Teaching Assistants support students' recreation, motor, vocational, socialization and communication, leisure and motor skills through the use of behavior analytic teaching procedures.

Additional job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Guiding and assisting students in various instruction settings and class routines
• Under teacher direction, implementing student's Individual Education Plans (IEP)s and Behavior Intervention plans (when applicable)

Work Experience and Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED, required
• 3 letters of recommendation required upon hire for preschool candidates
• 1-2 years' work experience is a school setting is preferred
• Ability to safely assist lifting individuals of various weights & 20 lb. items
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others and individuals served
