Job summary

New Story Schools is hiring a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one and small-group support in home and community settings. You will implement individualized plans that build academic, social, and life skills, helping each learner grow in confidence and independence.

You will work within a collaborative, mission-driven team to create meaningful progress for students with special needs and to help them prepare for meaningful adult lives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or a minimum of 48 semester credit hours from an accredited institution.
• At least three months of professional or internship experience supporting individuals with behavioral or learning differences.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance coverage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators.
• Ability to remain patient, adaptable, and professional in dynamic learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction based on each student’s IEP goals.
• Support students with autism and other learning differences in home and community settings.
• Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, behavioral, and life skill growth.
• Collect and report data to monitor student progress and guide instructional decisions.
• Partner with families, teachers, and clinicians to ensure consistency and support across environments.
