Job summary

Milestones Day School and Transitions Program in Waltham, MA, seeks a Teaching Assistant/Counselor to support students with autism and diverse needs. You will work with teachers and a broader team to promote independence, implement accommodations, and help students meet individualized goals in various settings.

The role is full-time, with hours 7:30 AM–3:00 PM, and includes benefits. A bachelor’s degree and prior experience with special education are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher required.
• Experience with autism, developmental, psychiatric and/or behavioral issues preferred.
• Data collection experience with behavior management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and supervision to students.
• Collaborate with team members to determine modifications and accommodations.
• Work with a team to support students in an academic environment.
• Support students' processing to enhance therapeutic growth.
• Collect data on skills and behaviors daily.
• Promote generalization of acquired skills in daily routines.
