Job summary

Bedford Public Schools seeks an Educational Support Professional for Sail 1 (ESP-3) to provide direct instructional and behavioral support to students diagnosed with ASD in a sub-separate classroom. Training includes ABA-based instruction and de-escalation strategies with supervision from BCBA and Special Education teachers.

Five days of specialized training before the school start is provided. Responsibilities include supervising students, data collection, and helping implement individualized

Qualifications

• Associates degree in psychology, education or related area preferred.
• Experience collecting and analyzing data to monitor student progress.
• Knowledge of ABA, de-escalation strategies, and behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to students with ASD in a sub-separate classroom.
• Implement individualized academic and behavior programs.
• Use ABA principles and data collection to inform instruction.
• Collaborate with teachers to prepare for daily classes and target learning goals.
