Job summary

Woburn Public Schools' Early Childhood Program (Reeves) seeks a SPED RISE I Teacher to support K-5 students on the autism spectrum. The role partners with the BCBA and school staff to implement individualized education programs.

Responsibilities include small-group instruction, behavior support plans, data collection for IEPs, and collaboration with speech and other service providers; the teacher will maintain records and participate in annual reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (Master’s preferred).
• Massachusetts DESE Certification in Moderate Special Needs for K-8; Severe License preferred.
• Experience working in diverse educational settings with students, colleagues and families from diverse backgrounds.
• Competence with technology tools and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive, culturally responsive classroom environment.
• Provide individual and small group instruction in SPED and General Education settings.
• Develop and run behavior support plans with BCBA; use token economies and reinforcement systems.
• Write IEPs and progress notes using data across the year; oversee data collection.
• Oversee paraprofessional staff and participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings.
• Plan and prepare MCAS Alternative Assessments as needed; participate in professional development.
