Job summary

Northeast Family Services in New Hampshire is seeking an Autism Specialist Professional / Behavior Therapist to join our team. This part-time role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to work in a behavior-analytic setting under supervision of a BCBA.

You will implement clients’ behavior support plans, collect data, and deliver ABA-based instruction to promote new skills. Work may be in-person or via telehealth, with family collaboration to support meaningful changes.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience with developmental disabilities.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

The Autism Specialist Professional will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior, and the provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professional will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior and skill acquisition, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professional will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA, either in-person or via a telehealth modality, and the client’s family, to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or a GED
• At least two years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• At least 18 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Availability to work after school and evening hours
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate approach to care

ABA Benefits

• Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
• Northeast Family Services supports uncertified in obtaining the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.
