Job summary

Northeast Family Services is seeking an Autism Specialist Professional / Behavior Therapist to join our New Hampshire team. This part-time role involves implementing behavior support plans and delivering ABA-based instruction to foster development. The position offers a flexible schedule and collaboration with a supervising BCBA.

The candidate will monitor and document client progress, communicating findings to the BCBA and family, with opportunities for telehealth and in-person work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be 18+ and pass a background check.
• Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle.
• Availability to work after school and evenings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

TheAutism Specialist Professionalwill be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior, and the provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professionalwill monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior and skill acquisition, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professionalwill work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA, either in-person or via a telehealth modality, and the client’s family, to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or a GED
• At least two years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• At least 18 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Availability to work after school and evening hours
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate approach to care

ABA Benefits:

• Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
• Northeast Family Services supports uncertified in obtaining the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.
