Job summary

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team in Massachusetts. The role supports behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA and delivers ABA-based instruction to help clients develop new skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

You will collect data, monitor progress, and communicate findings to the supervising BCBA and families. Availability after school/evening hours and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience with developmental disabilities.
• Associates degree or higher in a related field or behavior management certification with 12 months experience.
• RBT certification with 12 months experience with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provide ABA-based instruction.
• Monitor client behavior, collect data, and report to supervising BCBA.
• Collaborate with family and supervising BCBA to support meaningful changes in client behavior.
• Travel to areas within Boston South Boston/Seaport District as needed.

Northeast Family Services is seeking a Behavior Technician to join our growing team!

FFS - Fee For Service Position

The Behavior Technician will be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior and provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA and client’s family to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or a GED and have 24 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth or families

OR

• An associates degree or higher in either a human, social, or educational services discipline, or a degree or certification related to behavior management from an accredited community college or educational institution and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

OR

• Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and have 12 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities, children, adolescents, transitional age youth, or families

Other Requirements

• Availability to work after school/early evening hours -REQUIRED
• Ability to travel to areas of Boston in the South Boston/Seaport District
• Must be 21 years or older per updated state of MA ABA program requirements
• Required availability after school, evening and late evening hours
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills

Compensation
