Job summary

Northeast Family Services seeks an Autism Specialist Professional / Behavior Therapist to join our New Hampshire team on a part-time basis. The role involves implementing behavior support plans and ABA-based instruction under the supervision of a BCBA, with data collection and reporting to track progress.

The position offers a flexible, after-school and evening schedule, available in-person or via telehealth, and opportunities for supervision and credential support in BCBA/BCaBA pathways.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement clients’ behavior support plans to reduce problematic behavior.
• Provide ABA-based instruction to develop new skills.
• Monitor client behavior and collect data on behavior and skill acquisition.
• Report data to supervising BCBA.

TheAutism Specialist Professionalwill be responsible for the implementation of clients’ behavior support plans to decrease problematic behavior, and the provision of ABA-based instruction to promote development of new skills, at the direction of their supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professionalwill monitor client behavior, collect data on client behavior and skill acquisition, and report the data back to supervising BCBA. The Autism Specialist Professionalwill work collaboratively with the supervising BCBA, either in-person or via a telehealth modality, and the client’s family, to support meaningful changes in client behavior.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or a GED
• At least two years of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
• At least 18 years of age
• Pass a criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license with reliable and consistent access to a vehicle
• Availability to work after school and evening hours
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Experience in applied settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• A compassionate approach to care

• Northeast Family Services offers high-quality supervision of fieldwork experience for candidates seeking the BCBA or BCaBA credentials. A two-year contract is offered following successful completion of fieldwork experience.
• Northeast Family Services supports uncertified in obtaining the Registered Behavior Technician credential by offering RBT 40 hour training, initial competency assessment, ongoing skills-based supervision, and a $100 bonus upon obtaining RBT credential.
