Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with at least a 2.5 GPA.
• Certification: SRT4-Certification in Adapted Curriculum Special Education and 5 SPED content areas or approved equivalent.
• Georgia PSC Certificate of Eligibility if educator certification not issued in Georgia.
• Requires face-to-face instruction in the school building.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students with moderate to profound intellectual disability using diverse methods.
• Prepare lessons and class outlines to cover required material.
• Administer assessments to monitor progress and develop an IEP.
• Maintain classroom order and discipline.
• Coordinate parent/teacher conferences as needed.
• Attend faculty meetings and training sessions.
• Adhere to testing procedures and policies.
• Collaborate with teachers and admins to revise curricula.
• Maintain accurate student records.
