Job summary

Atlanta Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified Special Education AUTISM Teacher at Finch Elementary School to support students with autism spectrum disorders through differentiated instruction in a high-needs setting. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree required with at least a 2.5 GPA.
Certification: SRT4-Certification in Adapted Curriculum Special Education and 5 SPED content areas or approved equivalent.
Georgia PSC Certificate of Eligibility if educator certification not issued in Georgia.
Requires face-to-face instruction in the school building.

Responsibilities

Instruct students with moderate to profound intellectual disability using diverse methods.
Prepare lessons and class outlines to cover required material.
Administer assessments to monitor progress and develop an IEP.
Maintain classroom order and discipline.
Coordinate parent/teacher conferences as needed.
Attend faculty meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to testing procedures and policies.
Collaborate with teachers and admins to revise curricula.
Maintain accurate student records.
