Job summary

Paulding County Schools is seeking an Elementary Autism Teacher for the 2026-2027 anticipatory vacancy. The role involves delivering special education services to students with autism, developing and reviewing IEPs, and collaborating with parents and staff.

The position is within the Exceptional Students Education Program, under the supervision of the principal and ESEP coordinators. Applicants must hold a valid Georgia teaching certificate in the assigned field and meet special education

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required/strongly preferred.
• Special Education General Curriculum or Adaptive Curriculum certification required or preferred.
• Valid teaching certificate for Georgia in assigned field.

Responsibilities

• Complete designated follow-up procedures for students referred for special education services.
• Develop, implement, monitor, and annually review the IEPs for each eligible student.
• Collaborate with parents and staff to support student educational programs.
• Supervise paraprofessionals in various classroom settings.
• Maintain and submit required reports timely.
• Deliver educational services per program guidelines and delivery model.
• Ensure due process safeguards are afforded to students and parents.
• Utilize IH, assistive tech, and data to inform instruction and progress reporting.
