Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification (AHA, Red Cross, or equivalent).
• Experience with Special Needs (SSN), Autism, or Behavior support.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and understand student data privacy.
• Computer proficiency.
• Willingness to take part in ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce teacher-led lessons.
• Carry out instructional programs and activities as outlined in lesson plans.
• Support students in reading, recitation, and other curriculum tasks.
• Monitor behavior contracts and reward systems, and help manage classroom behavior.
• Collect data for student assessment and progress monitoring.
• Prepare and maintain classroom materials and equipment.
• Complete daily paperwork such as attendance reports, passes, and parent notes.
• Proctor tests and supervise students using classroom computer programs.
• Attend meetings and training as required.
