Job summary

Qualifications

• Refer to paraprofessional qualifications guide.
• Specialized training in invasive procedures will be provided.
• Must pass district approved written and physical exams on de-escalation and restraint.
• Training must be completed within 75 days of hire.
• If transporting students, a valid Colorado driver’s license or ability to obtain one is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in testing and assessment, record-keeping, and related activities.
• Provide daily living procedures such as toileting and feeding.
• Assist with medically invasive procedures as trained.
• Support community activities and transportation for students.
• Assist with lesson plan development and provide feedback to teachers.
• Communicate with students and parents about routine educational issues.
