Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED prior to hire.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Completion of 60 college credits or an associate degree, or paraprofessional test.

Responsibilities

• Assist special education students individually or in groups on various activities.
• Prepare materials, handouts, and classroom setup for activities.
• Monitor playground and cafeteria safety and behavior.
• Communicate with parents regarding progress and concerns.
• Help plan and support daily lesson activities and records.
• Copy and prepare educational materials and assist teachers.
