Job summary

Gwinnett County Public Schools seeks a licensed teacher to deliver instruction aligned with the AKS curriculum in a setting that supports the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, development of IEP-based plans, and ongoing assessment to inform instruction and student progress. A bachelor's degree in education is required, with Georgia certification. Experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and content area
• Familiarity with integrating curriculum and GCPS policies
• Understanding of the teaching/learning process
• Ability to infuse technology to enhance learning
• Excellent communication and human relations skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences based on AKS curriculum
• Provide instruction and/or SDAI aligned with IEPs
• Consult with teachers and administrators to develop programs
• Participate as active faculty member and assume duties
• Conduct in-service programs on IDEA and related topics
• Collaborate with regular educators to support students with disabilities
• Develop instructional objectives and assess prerequisite skills
• Plan instruction to promote mastery and organize content
• Provide formative and summative assessments and feedback
• Maintain records and communicate progress to parents
