You will help students engage academically and socially, focusing on communication, independence, and behavior support. The role emphasizes professional growth, mentorship, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid Texas special education teaching certification.
• Knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, visual supports, and positive behavior strategies.
• Experience or familiarity with teaching students with autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Individualize instruction by adapting lessons and goals to each student’s strengths and IEP goals.
• Create a supportive classroom with routines and visual supports.
• Build academic, communication and social skills while promoting independence.
• Support positive behavior through individualized strategies and teamwork.
• Track progress, collect data, and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Partner with families and school teams for IEP planning and ARD meetings.
