Candor Consulting & Diagnostics in Texas is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students with autism through individualized instruction and strong family/school partnerships.

You’ll adapt lessons to IEP goals, create a supportive classroom with routines and visual supports, and collaborate with related service providers to build communication, social participation, and independence.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, visual supports, and positive behavior strategies.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with autism is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Individualize instruction. Adapt lessons, materials, and teaching strategies to each student’s strengths, learning needs, and IEP goals.
• Create a supportive classroom. Use routines, visual supports, and accommodations to help students navigate learning.
• Build meaningful skills. Support academic learning, communication, social participation and independence based on goals and in collaboration with related service providers.
• Support positive behavior. Use positive behavior strategies and implement behavior intervention plans when applicable with the team.
• Track progress and adjust instruction. Maintain records, collect data, and use progress monitoring to guide decisions.
• Partner with families and school teams. Help develop/review IEPs, participate in ARD meetings, coordinate with families, teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You’ll create opportunities for students to access learning, communicate their needs, and participate meaningfully in school. You will:

• Individualize instruction. Adapt lessons, materials, and teaching strategies to each student’s strengths, learning needs, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.

• Create a supportive classroom. Use predictable routines, visual supports, and appropriate accommodations to help students navigate their learning environment.

• Build meaningful skills. Support academic learning, communication, social participation and independence based on individual goals and in collaboration with related service providers.

• Support positive behavior. Use positive behavior strategies and implement individualized behavior intervention plans, when applicable, in collaboration with the educational team.

• Track progress and adjust instruction. Maintain accurate records, collect student data, and use progress monitoring to guide instructional decisions.

• Partner with families and school teams. Help develop and review IEPs, participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, and coordinate with families, teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers.

What You’ll Bring

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

• Valid Texas special education teaching certification, with any additional qualifications required for the assignment.

• Knowledge of individualized instruction, IEP implementation, visual supports, and positive behavior strategies.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• A patient, adaptable approach that recognizes each student’s strengths and individual support needs.

• Experience teaching or supporting students with autism is preferred.
