Job summary

The Faison Center in Virginia is seeking a qualified speech-language pathologist to provide direct and consultative therapy to children and adolescents with autism. You will evaluate linguistic and cognitive communication disorders and support development within individualized treatment plans and IEP goals.

You will work as part of a larger educational treatment team, maintain documentation, communicate with families and teachers, and participate in ongoing supervision and continuing education

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an ASHA‑accredited program.
• Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech Pathology licensure required.
• Demonstrated specialized understanding of autism spectrum disorders.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates students for speech-language needs per program.
• Develops direct service plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Interacts with families, teachers and the treatment team.
• Maintains documentation per school and Department of Education guidelines.
• Participates in team meetings and planning activities.
