May Institute's May Center School for Autism in West Springfield, MA seeks a Special Education Teacher Assistant/Instructor/Paraprofessional for full-time roles in West Springfield and Chicopee. You will support lead teachers, implement ABA-based interventions, and help students aged 3–21 build communication and independence.

Qualifications include 18+, Bachelor's preferred, a valid U.S. driver's license, and a 40-hour work week with a M-F schedule.

• Valid U.S. driver's license
• 40-hour work week, M-F, 8 hours/day with 30-minute midday break
• Strong interpersonal abilities, reliability, compassion, adaptability

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing IEPs
• Assist students with personal care and behavioral interventions
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
• Use ABA strategies to promote communication, social skills, and independence
• Document student progress and collaborate with families and a multidisciplinary team
