Job summary

May Institute's May Center School in Randolph, Norwood, or Mansfield seeks a Teacher Assistant to support students ages 3-21 with autism and related disabilities. You will work with dedicated educators, implement ABA-based activities, and provide compassionate care to foster independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs.
• Experience with children or individuals with special needs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with lead teachers to implement IEPs and support individualized learning.
• Provide hands-on assistance with personal care tasks and behavior management.
• Foster positive communication and social skills using positive behavior support strategies.
• Create a warm, safe learning environment that promotes independence and growth.
• Document student progress and maintain open communication with families and the multidisciplinary team.
