Job summary

The University of Iowa is seeking a Clinic Coordinator for the Center for Disabilities and Development to streamline care across Autism Center and multidisciplinary clinics. You will coordinate patient flow, pre-visit documentation, and communications with families and providers.

Responsibilities include coordinating with social work, preparing patients for visits, and supporting research participation while maintaining high standards of professionalism and ethical decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Nursing, Social Work, or related health/human services field.
  • Licensure or certification in related specialty area.
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate specialized health care services for patients across autism and developmental clinics.
  • Develop and implement processes to support efficient patient scheduling and care coordination.
  • Serve as primary contact for patients/families, referring providers, and the Patient Access Center.
  • Assist in social work-related referral and entitlement resource connections.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and workshops for the Autism Center.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians, psychologists, therapists, and researchers.
  • Represent and promote the Center for Disabilities and Development and related programs.

Education
