Mercyhealth in Wisconsin is seeking an Autism Technician to support behavioral services in the autism program under supervision. The role involves in-home and community services following the treatment plan and active participation on the treatment team.

The 20-hour/week schedule, daytime shift, and requirement to complete orientation and certifications are part of the position. Mercyhealth offers comprehensive benefits and emphasizes safety and de-escalation training.

Formación

• Must complete 40 hours of specified orientation on autism and application of techniques.
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.
• Managing Threatening Confrontations Certified (on the job training) within 90 days.
• For Mercyhealth drivers: valid driver's license can be maintained and driving record must meet policy requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Provides in-home and community behavioral services to patients with autism as directed in the treatment plan.
• Participates as a treatment team member by attending meetings, providing feedback about patient progress, and sharing impressions of patient status.
• Documents observations and care provided in the medical record.
• Observes patients and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to the Program Supervisor and/or Qualified Supervising Provider.
• Participates in department and unit performance improvement activities.
• Maintain current de-escalation training and utilize de-escalation techniques on a daily basis.
