Mercyhealth is seeking an Autism Technician to provide in-home and community behavioral services to patients in the autism program, under supervision. You will participate in the treatment team, document observations, and support treatment plans while maintaining daily de-escalation techniques.

The role involves a 20-hour weekly schedule, daytime shifts, and driving responsibilities as outlined by Mercyhealth policies. Understanding of safety, communication, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of 40 hours orientation on autism.
• CPR or BLS certification due within 90 days.
• Managing Threatening Confrontations Certified within 90 days.
• Must maintain valid driver’s license and comply with Mercyhealth fleet policy.

Responsabilités

• Provide in-home and community behavioral services as directed.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and share patient progress insights.
• Document observations and care in the medical record.
• Monitor patient status and report adverse reactions to supervisor.
• Participate in department and unit performance improvement activities.
• Maintain current de-escalation training and apply techniques daily.
