Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an Autism Technician to provide behavioral services in the autism program under supervision. You will work with a treatment team, implement plans, and document patient progress in the medical record. The role requires de-escalation competencies and engagement in performance improvement activities.

Schedule is Monday-Friday, day hours with two evenings per week until 7:00pm. Requires 40 hours autism orientation and CPR/BLS within 90 days. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Must complete 40 hours of autism orientation and apply techniques.
• CPR/BLS certification due within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient in documenting patient observations in medical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home and community behavioral services per treatment plan.
• Attend treatment team meetings and communicate patient progress.
• Document observations and care in the medical record.
• Monitor patient reactions to medications or treatments and report to supervisor.
• Maintain de-escalation techniques daily and participate in performance improvement activities.
