Job summary

Pediatrics Plus is hiring Behavior Technicians to support evidence-based therapy services for children with special needs. You will work under a BCBA, contribute to IT P implementation, data collection, and data reporting, and prepare materials for sessions in a collaborative, family-centered clinic.

The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant documentation, ethics, and a compassionate, professional approach within a supportive interdisciplinary team. Training offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Complete 40 hours of paid training by supervising BCBA within 90 days.
• Pass the RBT competency assessment.
• Pass the RBT exam to become a Registered Behavior Technician.
• Criminal background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Work directly under the supervision of the BCBA.
• Participate in the implementation of the IT P (ITP) created by the BCBA.
• Participate in daily data collection.
• Enter data and update graphs, reporting data to BCBA.
• Assist in observational assessments with the BCBA (ABC data).
• Prepare and implement materials for sessions as directed by the skill acquisition program.
• Implement teaching procedures based on BCBA recommendations.
• Store notes and data in HIPAA-compliant software.
• Maintain visual supervision of the child at all times.
• Speak in a pleasant, caring voice to children, parents, and staff.
• Represent the program positively to parents, visitors, and the public.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary learning environment; disinfect toys daily.
• Show concern for rights of children and families served.
• Ensure confidentiality of children and employees and respond to information requests per policy.
• Participate in one-on-one meetings with leadership.
• Comply with BACB ethics requirements.
