Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians in Pontiac, MI. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized intervention plans under a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training, enabling you to contribute meaningfully from day one. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds, with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion required to work with children with autism
• Ability to work well in a team
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR, First Aid cert and TB test required or ability to obtain
• Must pass pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and monitor progress
