Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking energetic Behavior Technicians to join our team in Las Cruces, NM. You will work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA's supervision to build communication, social, and daily living skills.

This role emphasizes hands-on support, physical activity, and compassionate teamwork. You will contribute to meaningful outcomes for children and their families while following evidence-based techniques and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Engage in active movement and lifting as part of daily activities (up to 50 pounds).
• Contribute to meaningful outcomes for children and their families at day end.
