Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, implementing individualized behavior plans under the supervision of a BCBA. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We offer training, a supportive team environment, and a pay range of $16–$23 per hour. Candidates must be patient, compassionate, and able to stand and move as needed; 18+ with a HS

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Must be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviours.
• Be part of a dedicated team that supports children and families.
• Engage with children in a safe, patient, and supportive manner.
