Job summary

Centria Autism is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under a BCBA’s guidance. You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and a supportive team environment. The role involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds; respectful care for children and families is essential.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and team to support each child's progress.
• Help maintain safety and well-being during activities that involve movement or lifting.
