Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You’ll work one-on-one, implementing individualized intervention plans under a BCBA, and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.

No prior experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. Role involves standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and collaborating with a supportive team to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to children with autism.
• Implement individualized behaviour intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Ensure safety and assist with physical tasks as needed.
