Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in a one-on-one setting. You’ll implement individualized intervention plans under supervision of a BCBA and help develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children with autism.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification and TB test (required).
• Background check clearance.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.
• Assist under the guidance of a BCBA to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team to provide consistent therapy sessions.
• Stand, walk, sit, lift, and move as required during sessions.
