Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior plans under a BCBA. You will teach communication, social and daily living skills using evidence-based methods while supporting families and collaborating with a caring, team-oriented group.

Comprehensive training is provided, and the position emphasizes patient, compassionate support for children with autism.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test (if not updated in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Help reduce interfering behaviors
• Join a dedicated team and participate in ongoing training
