Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children who have autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans, teach communication and daily living skills, and help reduce challenging behaviors. Comprehensive training is provided.

Pay starts at $17–$20 per hour. Candidates must obtain CPR/First Aid and TB testing, and obtain RBT certification after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squad, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after completing onboarding

Responsibilities

• Sitting down and standing up from the floor or chair many times throughout the work day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
• Running or moving quickly as needed to interact with, and for the safety and protection of your client(s).
