Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum under the guidance of a BCBA. The role focuses on teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Candidates should be patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team. Training will be provided; lifting up to 50 pounds is sometimes required, and the role involves standing, walking, and bending as part of daily activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years of age required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or required by role.
• Tuberculosis test as part of pre-employment screening.
• Background check required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under supervision of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques.
• Maintain safety and physical requirements (lift up to 50 pounds).
