Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. The role involves one-on-one work under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, using evidence-based techniques to build communication, social, and daily living skills while minimizing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and expect physical flexibility to move, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a preemployment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Registered Behavior Technician Certification required within 45 days of onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Move and assist children in various positions and activities as required by the job.
• Sitting down and standing up from the floor or chair many times during the day.
• Occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
• Running or moving quickly as needed to ensure client safety.
