Job summary

Centria Healthcare in Norcross, GA is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills while keeping the child safe and engaged.

No prior experience required, but you must be patient and team-oriented. We provide comprehensive training; expect a role with physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test within last year.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under BCBA guidance.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Maintain safety and adapt activities to children’s needs.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team to support progress.
