Job summary

Centria-Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children who have autism, under the guidance of a BCBA. You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans and teach communication, social, and daily living skills.

We provide comprehensive training so you can start without prior experience. The role requires you to stand, walk, sit, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and collaborate with a supportive team to make meaningful differences in a child’s life.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors and support progress toward goals.
• Contribute to a supportive team environment and participate in training.
