Job summary

Centria Autism is hiring Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism, delivering individualized intervention plans under a BCBA’s supervision. You will use evidence-based methods to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.

The role emphasizes patience, teamwork, and compassion. Training is provided, with a focus on practical growth and supporting families in meaningful progress.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques
• Reduce interfering behaviors in collaboration with the care team
• Provide support as part of a dedicated team in a dynamic child-focused environment
