Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through one-on-one intervention under the supervision of a BCBA. You will learn and apply evidence-based techniques to improve communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

You don't need prior experience; comprehensive training is provided. The role involves standing, walking, and assisting children up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age; High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test; background check required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Operate under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and use evidence-based techniques.
• Assist with safe handling of children up to 50 pounds when needed.
