Job summary

Centria Healthcare in Hudson, Michigan is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA. You’ll apply evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social and daily living skills and help reduce challenging behaviors.

No prior experience required; comprehensive training is provided. Candidates must be patient, compassionate and able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or move as needed to support children safely.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children with autism under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Move and assist clients safely, up to 50 pounds, in various positions.
