Job summary

Easterseals Southern California, Inc. is seeking a Behavior Technician to deliver clinic and home-based ABA therapy for clients with severe behaviors. Sessions run 3–4 hours, Monday to Friday, at center, home or community settings, with a 2:1 staff-to-participant ratio aimed at meaningful progress.

Strong data collection, collaboration with BCBAs, and caregiver coaching are essential. Must have a high school diploma and Crisis Management Training; prior ABA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Crisis Management Training required and passed at Intermediate and Advanced levels.
• At least 2 years ABA-related experience with adolescents/adults with profound disabilities including autism.
• Onboarding provides training; ongoing documentation and data collection are essential.

Responsibilities

• Support participants with autism and severe behaviors in center, home, or community settings.
• Collect data on participant behavior through direct observation and recording.
• Assist with behavior assessments and skill acquisition plans as directed by BCBAs.
• Provide caregiver training and communicate progress to families and treatment teams daily.
• Maintain high treatment integrity and uphold confidentiality.
• Deliver 3–4 hour treatment sessions, Monday through Friday, with 2:1 staff-to-participant ratio.
• Arrive early for prep and stay after sessions to complete notes and reports.
