Job summary

ABA Support Services is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician/Direct Therapist to organize data systems, assist with behavioral assessments and program implementation, and support staff and parents through training. The role emphasizes data management, session materials, and active participation in treatment planning.

The position requires reliability, own transportation, and the ability to work with children with autism in clinical, home, and school settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 60 College credits; Bachelor’s or Master’s in Psychology, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy, Education, or related field highly desirable.
• 1 year clinical/home/school experience providing direct services to children with Autism.
• Willing to learn about an early learning curriculum and behavioral principles.
• Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Therapists should be able to work with children across the autism spectrum and implement programs in home, school, and community settings.
• Motivated, excellent work ethic, high quality work, and able to work with minimal direction.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
• Assist lead therapist in maintaining up-to-date graphs, summarizing and calculating data.
• Write progress notes, program updates, create session materials and stimuli, maintain program books.
• Active participation in baseline, treatment, parent training, and generalization sessions.
• Assist with preparation and cleanup of session-related activities.
• Assist with case-related duties such as protocol dissemination, protocol reviews and staff/parent training.
• Utilize safe handling and guidance procedures when transporting or working with clients.
• Provide direct client care following prescribed behavioral protocols/programs, one-on-one or in groups.
• Shadow/co-treat/treat a minimum of 2-4 contact hours per week.
• Report parent concerns to the lead therapist; report suspected child abuse within 24 hours.
