Job summary

Minnesota Autism Center is seeking a Behavior Therapist to provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism at our Forest Lake location. The role operates 12:00pm–4:30pm, with opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules based on needs.

The therapist will implement treatment plans under supervision and support meaningful skill development in a center-based setting. Responsibilities include data collection, direct therapy, collaboration with families, and adherence to HIPAA and safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• Previous experience with children preferred
• Willingness to obtain RBT certification if hired as level 3 BT
• Interest in autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
• Ability to follow clinical direction and implement feedback
• Basic computer and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one and group ABA therapy to children with ASD
• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans under BCBA supervision
• Teach communication, social, daily living, play, and adaptive skills
• Collect accurate session data and document using an iPad
• Monitor learner progress and report observations to supervisor
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team
• Follow HIPAA, safety protocols, and company policies
• Support learners during transitions and daily routines
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy spaces
• Maintain professionalism and positive communication with families and team members
