Job summary

Allcare Homecare seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 2:1 support for an adult client with Autism. The role requires energy, engagement, and a commitment to building a positive relationship within a structured environment.

Ideal candidates enjoy community activities, can provide companionship, and will learn and implement training and support strategies. Training and ongoing coaching are provided to ensure quality care and client wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional in all situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to participate in training and ongoing coaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 2:1 support to a client with Autism.
• Assist with community integration and social activities.
• Build a positive, respectful rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Follow individualized support plans and behavioral strategies.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Work closely with supervisors, family members, and support teams.
• Ensure the client's safety, well-being, and dignity at all times.
