Job summary

Allcare Homecare is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide 2:1 support for an adult client with Autism. This role requires energetic, engaging staff who can build a supportive relationship and follow individualized plans.

The ideal candidate will be active in the community, provide companionship, and participate in ongoing training and coaching to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 2:1 support to a client with Autism.
• Assist with community integration and social activities.
• Build a positive, respectful rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Follow individualized support plans and behavioral strategies.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Work closely with supervisors, family members, and support teams.
• Ensure the client’s safety, well-being, and dignity.
