Job summary

selfpublishing.com, based in Austin, TX, seeks an Author Success Coach to help authors publish, gain visibility, and become profitable in a full-time, in-office role.

You’ll deliver high-quality coaching that yields real results, lead workshops, and collaborate with the Coaching, Author Success, and Community teams to drive publishing success.

Base pay ranges from $50,000 to $75,000 per year, with a performance bonus, top-tier healthcare, and a dedicated training budget to support your growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coaching or strategic business consulting experience.
• A proven track record of business coaching and facilitation with tangible results.
• A published book on Amazon
• 1+ year of virtual or in person event facilitation experience
• Perfect written English and excellent spoken English
• Ready to work 45+ hours a week

Responsibilities

• Coach authors to results: Help 75% of your authors achieve their program's promised result within one year (120+ results per year).
• Complete 200 coaching calls per month: Deliver authentic, friendly, and respectful coaching in every author interaction.
• Set launch calls (96+ per year): Guide authors toward the next phase of their journey, with 30%+ renewing into the next phase product.
• Create Raving Fans: Give every author an experience on par with Disney or Chick fil A.
• Be the bridge to results: Work closely with our Coaching, Author Success, and Community teams to help authors get their books published.
• Lead workshops: Facilitate virtual and in person workshops, and help improve our group coaching call structure so it drives tangible results.
• Continuously improve: Track author success checkpoints, recommend curriculum updates, grow through monthly call reviews, and recommend standout author testimonials every quarter.

What You Bring:

Required:

• 2+ years of coaching or strategic business consulting experience


• A proven track record of business coaching and facilitation with tangible results


• A published book on Amazon


• 1+ year of virtual or in person event facilitation experience


• Perfect written English and excellent spoken English


• Ready to work 45+ hours a week

Please Don't Apply If You:

• Have no interest in books (and using books to change people's lives)


• Have less than 2 years of coaching experience


• Have never facilitated a virtual or in person event or workshop


• Are not a team player


• Base pay: $50,000 to $75,000 annually, based on experience


• Performance bonus: $3,000 to $14,000 annually (and the sky's the limit based on performance)
