Job summary

Selfpublishing.com is seeking a Head Coach in Austin, TX to maximize the performance of our coaching team through coaching, training, call reviews, and program improvements across all products. The role is a player-coach position with about 70% hands-on coaching and 30% leadership.

You will lead group coaching calls, develop the coaching team, and collaborate with Success, Community, and R&D to enhance content and author lifetime value.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coaching and/or management experience.
• Proven coaching and facilitation with tangible results.
• Experience facilitating virtual or in-person events and workshops.
• Perfect written and excellent spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Grow renewals: Drive 30% YoY renewal growth by increasing renewal and launch call sets across the coaching team.
• Drive author results: Help 45%+ of authors publish and achieve their program's promised result.
• Create raving fans: Maintain an NPS of 55+ by giving every author an exceptional experience.
• Coach authors directly: Lead group coaching calls, workshops, and 1:1 sessions.
• Develop the coaching team: Run call reviews, build development plans, and train coaches.
• Improve the program: Partner with Author Success, Community, and R&D to improve content and user experience.
• Spotlight wins: Share standout author stories quarterly.

Head Coach

To drive results, renewals, and referrals by building the best coaching team in the business.

As Head Coach at selfpublishing.com, you'll maximize the performance of our coaching team through coaching, training, call reviews, and constant improvement. You'll create, execute, and improve our coaching program across every product we offer, both existing and new, and help more authors publish, succeed, and keep working with us.

This is a player coach role: about 70% hands on coaching with authors and 30% leading and developing our coaches.

What You'll Do

• Grow renewals: Drive 30% year over year renewal growth by increasing renewal and launch call sets across the coaching team.
• Drive author results: Help 45%+ of authors publish and achieve their program's promised result.
• Create Raving Fans: Maintain a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 55+ by giving every author an experience on par with Disney or Chick fil A.
• Coach authors directly: Lead group coaching calls, workshops, and one on one sessions as a core part of your week.
• Develop the coaching team: Run call reviews for every coach and every call type, build promotion and development plans, and continue each coach's individual training.
• Improve the program: Partner with our Author Success, Community, and R&D teams to improve course content, the user experience, and author lifetime value.
• Spotlight wins: Identify standout author stories and testimonials to share with our team every quarter.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of coaching and/or management experience
• A proven track record of coaching and facilitation with tangible results
• Experience facilitating virtual or in person events and workshops
• Proficient tech skills, including Asana, Slack, HubSpot, Zoom, and Google Drive
• Perfect written English and excellent spoken English
• Ready to work 45+ hours a week

Bonus Points If You Have

• Organizational leadership and/or sales experience
• Experience with Teachable
• A published book (or the drive to write one with us in your first 6 months)

Compensation & Benefits

• Base pay: $70,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience
