Job summary

The Long Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Director of Sales to lead the venue rental program, cultivate relationships with event planners, and craft compelling proposals that convert inquiries into bookings.

You will own revenue goals, manage a pipeline from prospecting through contracting, and partner with operations, programming, and marketing to ensure flawless events for clients and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in sales, marketing, business, hospitality, event management.
• At least 7 years of experience in sales, business development, or venue rentals.
• Proven success building client relationships and achieving revenue goals.

Responsibilities

• Grow venue rental revenue and meet annual sales goals.
• Generate new business via prospecting, referrals, and community relationships.
• Lead proposals, pricing, and contract negotiations for events.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with revenue projections.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful event execution.
