Job summary

National General is seeking a Field Property Adjuster in the greater Austin area to investigate and evaluate homeowners property claims from start to finish, including inspections, estimating damages, and supplements.

Candidates must live within 20 miles of Austin, TX, have experience with Xactimate and hold an active adjuster license or be eligible for reciprocal licensing; strong customer service and ability to manage multiple claims are essential.

Qualifications

• Analytical thinking and strong customer service skills required.
• Experience with property claims and Xactimate.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple claims concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company.
• Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on first party homeowner losses with complexity
• Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
• Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices and makes decisions on best option
• Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
